I actually use LibreOffice! It's my default for things unrelated to writing long-form stories--in fact, it was the program I was writing my current fic on before the size became a bit much for my purposes. I mainly moved over to Scrivener because it allows easy organization for big projects, and it's one of the few programs left where you need to only buy it once and the program license is yours.
Given LibreOffice is opensource, I wouldn't be too surprise if the community created a plugin or extension for it. Though trying to dig and find a good one will take a bit of time.
