glitteringstarsI am *checks notes* FORTY hours into DA2, and I feel so bad about the choices I made for my Hawke lmao
FOR CONTEXT, I'm playing as the "default Hawke" that appears in the base World State of Inquisition (Mage!Hawke with the default look) (Why I did this was because I played Inquisition first and it feels weird to make a different Hawke) So, yeah, Bethany dies to the ogre, and we get sibling rivalry with Carver--which I greatly enjoyed. Yes, he can be an ass, but he's also ride-or-die.
So, uh, end of act one. Guess who decided to ignore Ma's concerns in favor of respecting Carver's decisions of going to the Deep Roads. Guess who didn't reload their save when the framing device kicks in and has Varric lament to Cassandra that "He wouldn't have continued with what was to come with what happened to his brother."
(I mean, I did scream, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, VARRIC?")
Yeah...Ma was absolutely distraught when she learned Carver died because of Blight sickness. (I originally thought it was lyrium poisoning since he was a non-mage, but yeah...)
Jump to Act 2 when the serial killer plot strikes and white lilies are sent to Ma.
Yeah...accidentally made Hawke the last of his name in five years. :')
In my cannon, I'm adding an extra scene where Merrill checks in on him since he's become a brother-figure for her and knows what it's like to be suddenly alone. I'll probably write something for it.
