Write a love letter to fandom. It might be to fandom in general, to a particular fandom, favourite character, anything at all.
Thank you to the creatives, who are the backbone of fandom. To those of you who continue to write for dead fandoms, for little loved ships, those who write exclusively one fandom, those who write for all the fandoms. To those of you who painstakenly learn complicated character designs for fanart or cosplay (Hoyoverse fandoms know my pain). To those who continue the art of AMVs and fandedits. To the fandubbers who give new life to web comics, to the fantranslaters who share their love for series faster than capitalism realizing it's there, to the modders who add wonderful and cursed additions to their favorite games.
To the fans who write essays about their favorite series, to those who imagine ways it could be better.
To those of you picking up hobbies in between life, school, work, and more.
Thank you for all you create and all you love--from the young person writing reader inserts for their friends to the parent creating a magnum opus to all the ideas left half finished, and everything in between.
And we cannot forget the readers, the lurkers, the commenters, the enjoyers.
Please continue all you do.
