3w4dw: Week 1, Day 2

For day two of 3weeks4dreamwidth, I'm just going to ramble about about my goals for this year!
1. I want to get back into writing.
Musekicker told me about 4thewords, which seems like a cool thing to checkout. I'll need to do a bit more research into it!
The other things I want to do is The Artist's Way, maybe as a bit of an altered version of it. The main ideas I really would like to pull from it is the daily morning pages and the artist's date. The TLDR; for it is that morning pages are just stream of consciousness writing for roughly three pages. The author emphasizes to do it as strictly longform and handwritten, but I think that's stupid. I don't stay digital or physical, so I'll be bouncing between them as works best.
The artist's date will be the funniest to try to work in as it's very easy for me to set these up, but hard for follow-through. I do think more people should do something like this, even if it's just for self-care. I'm glad Julia Cameron emphasizes that these self-dates can be as simple as watching a movie by yourself or going for a walk. All very good things.
2. Journalling in general. It's in the same vein as morning pages, but this is specifically because of the suggestion I received from a writing class I took through my local library. The guest teacher suggested journalling not as a stream of consciousness, but writing down little stories you remember. The things she got from doing this is finding your own voice as a writer and also funny little things you remember.
There's also just the fact it's incredibly useful for mental health. So, there's also that.
3. Getting through my mending backlog. I have so many items I've put aside just to be fixed or darned, so it's gotten a bit ridiculous how big the pile has gotten. It's a lot of smaller things, so it should go quickly, but it's still a hard to get started.
4. Writing more reviews about the things I'm reading or listening to. I don't probably have the most insightful thoughts about my choice of literature, but I still want to share things I've either heavily enjoyed and want to recommend.
When I get through my webtoon backlog, boy will people want me to shut up about it.
To make things more concrete, I think my initial shallow goals will be:
Other Bigger goals:

To make things more concrete, I think my initial shallow goals will be:
- Aim to write 2k words a week on any one project. 500 words for four days is an easy thing to work into my schedule. This post is already eeking to 500 words and I've only been working on it for roughly twenty minutes.
- Journaling: Aim to journal for a couple of pages at least 4 times a week. The words won't ultimately count to goal 1, but may help brainstorm for the goal 1. It's pretty easy to find prompts online, so maybe keeping a on-going and random list to pull from will help when the brain gets slow.
- Work on mending one item a week. Once I get going, it's easy to keep going. I just need to be sure to set a day where I accomplish this goal.
- Staring one of those "what I'm x" posts every week. Maybe setting it for Tuesday.
Other Bigger goals:
- Yamask Cosplay (due by next February) - All I have to do for this, though is some mending of items I already own. I just want to figure out how I want to do the funeral mask.
- Finish deconstructing my old Sucrose cosplay (due by August)
- Do a mockup of a dress for my friend (due by June)
- Catalogue all of my music on VGMD (due by May)
- Do that Celebi blouse (due by end of July)
- Read at least another 5 to 7 books this year. Audio books are just a fun bonus
